Start360 – what they are doing with the Big Lottery Fund 10th Birthday grant

September 7, 2015

Start360 provides a range of support services and interventions to young people, adult offenders and families in Northern Ireland in the areas of health, justice and employability.

They received a £2,000 Big Lottery Fund 10th Birthday grant for their Know Your Past project which involves older people sharing their life experience of growing up in Northern Ireland with younger people through an inter-generational conference.

Start360 will hosted the Raised in Belfast conference on 28 September 2015 in Hydebank Wood College and Women’s Prison.

The event looked at how Belfast has changed over the generations and to help bridge the gap between the younger and older people.

The guest speakers, including Bill Wolsey, Michele Marken and Cieran McAuley, gave an overview of their life experiences growing up in the city and will explore their fears and hopes for Belfast going into the future.
