The Big Lottery Fund’s Big Lunch campaign here in Northern Ireland has been shortlisted for a high profile local award.
The campaign, which encourages local neighbourhoods to come together and share food, friendship and fun, has been shortlised for the Northern Ireland Best Housing Story 2012, run by the Chartered Institute of Housing.
The story that has been shortlisted is east Belfast’s Shaw Street neighbours, whose Big Lunch has brought people of all ages and backgrounds together. As a result community spririt has blossomed and new friendships have been formed.
