In my role, as I always say, I get a chance to meet some very special people, and last week just reaffirmed that this is true.

I was delighted to be invited to join a Treasure Hunt with Caring Breaks, a project which provides respite activities for adults with a learning disability and their families / carers in Belfast.

The activities have an environmental focus and the main partner working with Caring Breaks on this project is the Ulster Wildlife Trust.Together they provide a number of activities throughout the year which give the project’s clients the chance to get out and about, helping to raise their awareness of and the chance to access nature.

The Treasure Hunt gave everyone a chance to get some exercise, see the beautiful countryside and learn about our heritage at the Folk and Transport Museum, in Cultra.

We laughed and cheered our way round, as we worked out all the clues, with a little help from our guide.  A really BIG thanks from me, to everyone involved.
